A unique programme for passionate basketball players

Do you play basketball at elite level and do you want to combine your passion for basketball with a top level education? Through our partnership with Ikast-Brande Gymnasium and Handelsgymnasiet Ikast-Brande, we offer the possibility of enrolling to the school of your dreams, just at your door step! You can choose between STX, HHX, HF, PreIB and 10.klasse, and, if you want to choose an international education, you can enroll to the IB program in Ikast-Brande gymnasium.
We also have options for exchange programs, just reach out to learn more.
In collaboration with Sportstar College, the Academy offers the option of living in a structure that is specialized in hosting athletes from all the sport lines: we have great facilities and an ideal set-up to support your development as a student and as a basketball player.
The IB programme is tuition free for all EU citizens.
Basketball Star Academy is officially certified by DBBF, the Danish Basketball Federation.

ENROLLMENT PROCESS To be part of the Academy you need to be a passionate and ambitious basketball player, a diligent student and a responsible young adult. Our enrolment process is a three layer process: •Basketball assessment •School assessment •SportStar College interview Get in touch to start the process by writing an email to info@basketballstar.eu – you can also use our contact form or whatsapp. We will reply and plan a call with the Head of the Academy to hear more about your kid and understand if the Academy could be the right offer for them. After the call, the process will move forward with the school enrolment and the Sportstar college enrolment. Full package, including school and accommodation, from 6900 DKK per month.

PROGRAMME DESIGN

Basketball Star Academy allows you to practice basketball 3 mornings a week, before classes, as well as 4 times in the evening each week.
Our keyword in designing your sports and school programme is flexibility. You will have the possibility of achieving the same academics goals as your “non-athletes” peers, without compromising your basketball goals. We individualize your academic programme by moving tests, offering you extra tutoring if you are away for games and miss classes, and keep tabs on your wellbeing through our sports coordinator who supports you throughout your time at our school.

TRAINING FACILITIES

The basketball court and two weight lifting gyms are located inside the school: after the morning practice, you will be ready to join the classes, directly from the same building.

Another weight lifting gym is located near the school and the Sportstar College.
