We’re excited to share some big news from Basketball Star Academy!

We are proud to announce that Jimmy Moore has accepted the role of Head Coach and Sports Director, starting next season.

Jimmy brings with him not only a wealth of experience but also tremendous energy and passion for player development. We’re thrilled to welcome him to the Academy and look forward to building the next phase of our basketball program together.

At the same time, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Ville Tuominen for his outstanding work as Head Coach during our very first season. It’s been a pleasure working with Ville, and we’re truly grateful for his commitment and the foundation he helped lay for our Academy.

"I am thrilled to embark on this new journey as a contributor to Basketball Star Academy,

where I will serve as Head Coach and Sports Director. My passion for the game extends far

beyond the court—I am committed to shaping the skills, mindset, and culture of our young

athletes, ensuring they grow both as players and as individuals.

Basketball has been the foundation of my life for over two decades taking me across Europe

and China as a professional player, where I proudly secured eight championships. This

experience has given me invaluable insights into the sport, which I carried into my coaching

career. My transition into coaching began at the high school level, where I spent seven years

developing student-athletes before advancing to the junior college stage.

The move to the Danish Basketball League proved to be a defining chapter, allowing me to

work with extraordinary talent and inspiring individuals. Over five years, I earned five medals

and three Coach of the Year honors, marking an incredible journey of competitive success and

personal growth. Now, I return to my core passion—mentoring youth student-athletes at an

international sports academy and college. The opportunity to guide the next generation excites

me beyond words, and I can’t wait to step onto the court and get to work!"
